Select by bearing position

Start from the load and the space, then pick the bearing family.

The fastest way to find the right Koyo / JTEKT bearing family is to describe what the position has to carry and how much room it has. Combined loads point to tapered rollers, tight radial space to needle rollers, heavy shafts to spherical rollers. Use the table below to narrow the family before checking exact dimensions.

Load or installation feature Bearing family Typical position
Radial and axial load acting together Tapered roller bearings Gearbox shafts, combined-load seats
High radial load on gear and shaft systems Cylindrical roller bearings Industrial gears and shafting
Limited radial installation space Needle roller bearings Compact seats where bore size alone is not enough
Heavy-duty shaft under demanding load Spherical roller bearings Heavy industrial shafts, conveyor gearboxes
Specified locating arrangement Angular contact ball bearings Defined locating positions
Auxiliary drive, general-purpose duty Deep groove ball bearings Auxiliary drives, general machinery
Axial load positions Thrust ball bearings Thrust positions in machinery
Non-standard or application-specific seat Application-specific bearings Supplied against drawings or equipment records

Position known, dimensions in doubt? Send the shaft position and gearbox model and we match the family and size together.

Listed models

Koyo / JTEKT bearing models ready to quote

187 bearing models are listed online. Every listing can be quoted on its own or added to a whole-gearbox request.

Application-specific bearings

No catalogue number? Quote from the drawing or the equipment record.

Bearings for special positions are supplied against your drawing number or the equipment's maintenance record. Send what the original build used and we work back to the matching Koyo / JTEKT bearing.

Two ways to buy

Buy one part number, or the whole unit's bearing set.

Order single references when you know exactly what failed; send a full assembly list when a gearbox or machine is being rebuilt or built new.

Buy by Part Number

Best for maintenance teams and repair shops replacing a known bearing: quote it on the old Koyo mark or the current JTEKT number.

  • Koyo and JTEKT references accepted side by side
  • Prototype quantities or production volumes
  • Planned replacement and maintenance stock

Whole-Unit Kit Purchasing

Best for gearbox overhauls and machine assembly: send every bearing in the unit as one itemised list and get one quote back.

  • Lines grouped by shaft position
  • Per-unit quantity and order total kept separate
  • No missed or doubled bearings on rebuild day

Size range

From compact needle rollers to large roller bearings.

One supplier covers the tight seats and the heavy shafts in the same machine. Small-section needle and ball bearings sit on the same quote as large tapered and spherical roller bearings.

Incomplete or worn markings

A blurred marking is still a starting point.

If the reference on an old bearing is incomplete, a clear photo plus the known gaps is enough to begin. The part is identified and confirmed first, then quoted, so the wrong substitute never reaches your gearbox.

  1. 1

    Photograph the marking clearly

Shoot the ring face and any stamped characters in good light. Add the gearbox model and shaft position if known.

  2. 2

    State what is still missing

Note the gaps, such as a suffix, cage type or exact dimensions, so the identification work goes straight to them.

  3. 3

    Confirm, then quote

The exact reference and assembly configuration are confirmed with you before a written quote is issued.

Every substitute needs your approval. Any alternative reference is listed separately on the quote and is never shipped as a silent swap. Technical changes go ahead only after the buyer signs off.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask about Koyo / JTEKT bearings

How should I submit old Koyo markings and current JTEKT numbers?

Send both on the same line if you have them. The old Koyo mark from the bill of materials and the JTEKT number from purchasing records are matched to one reference, so your BOM and your orders stay in step.

Can you quote per-unit quantity and order total together?

Yes. Each line shows the quantity used per unit and the total for the order, so a whole-gearbox list is neither short nor over-ordered.

Which bearing fits a seat with very little radial space?

Usually a needle roller bearing. Bore size alone is not enough to choose one, so include the shaft position and housing details and the full geometry is checked before quoting.

Do you supply bearings that are not listed online?

Yes. Application-specific bearings are supplied against a drawing number or equipment record, and the listed catalogue is only part of the Koyo / JTEKT range we source.
